Our first night in Swan Hill and it's a long weekend. We had a leisurely drive from Moama today, stopping in Kerang for morning tea. By the time we settled into the park it was well after lunch so the four of us had lunch down in one of the town cafes. John had a ham, tomato and cheese sandwich while I had a lovely small vegetarian pizza.
I did a bit of shopping in the Reject shop and still forgot a couple of things I needed but forgot to put on my list.
Tomorrow we will look around town and relax at the park. I need to do some washing while we are here.
Saturday
John and I looked around town, bought tickets for an afternoon cruise on a paddle steamer and some how the day got away from us. We managed a coffee at Spoons, a cafe with a nice water view near the Pioneer Settlement. Bob and Elaine joined us on the cruise, a pleasant hour on the water. Elaine and I enjoyed a glass of champagne while we slowly cruised for an hour up the Murray, passing the back of our caravan park.
